Welcome to the Bioanalytical and Environmental Research Laboratory at Queen’s University.
We are a research group dedicated to the study of molecular and material reactions and properties on surfaces. We employ a suite of state-of-art instruments including electrochemistry, scanning probe microscopes, and spectroscopy techniques to characterize image surface structures and understand their chemical and electrochemical properties.
Utilizing the learnings from fundamental studies, we will be able to design new strategies to tackle emerging problems in infrastructure protection, water quality management, environmental monitoring, and medical diagnostic devices. Our projects are highly interdisciplinary, and our group members have a wide range of background in surface chemistry, electrochemistry, analytical chemistry, biochemistry, microbiology, chemical engineering, civil engineering, and astrophysics.
Undergraduate students interested in conducting CHEM497/ENCH417 research projects can check out details posted on onQ website.
