VPN is not required to access TRAQ. Doing so may cause compatibility issues.
Some users are experiencing an “Access Denied” message when trying to log on to the Researcher Portal.
If you are experiencing this issue please contact our helpdesk to have the email associated with your account updated.
This is caused by a conflict between the Queen's email in your profile and the NetID email used to verify your account.
We apologise for the inconvenience.
If you are a Queen's Student (undergraduate and graduate), Postdoctoral Fellow you must register for an account.
Please follow these steps:
- Complete Self-registration form .
- Contact our helpdesk and complete a ticket to notify us that you have self-registered for an account and it require validation.
Accounts are not active until validated by the TRAQ helpdesk.
Information that is required to self-register:
- Student number
- NetID email address
- Faculty and Department you or your research project supervisor are affiliated with, and please provide their name
- Your position title or role: i.e. undergraduate student, assistant professor, coordinator etc.

If you require a TRAQ account or if you would like to make changes to your account, please contact our helpdesk with the following information.
Information that is required for an account:
- Employee / Student number
- NetID email address
- Faculty and Department you are affiliated with
- If you are a student, please provide the Name, Faculty and Department or your research project supervisor.
- Your position title or role: i.e. undergraduate student, assistant professor, coordinator etc.
If you are an External Researchers / Reviewers (Community Members) and have never had a TRAQ account, you must register for an account.
Please follow these steps:
- Complete Self-registration form .
