Postdoctoral Fellow and Graduate Students
We welcome candidates for master’s, Ph.D., and postdoctoral level, with related backgrounds in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, biomedical engineering, computer science, Physics, and other related interdisciplinary areas. Please contact Dr. Wang directly with your CV and transcript. Successful candidates need to meet the minimal admission requirements of the department.
All research-based graduate students are supported through Queen’s Graduate Scholarship, TA, RA, other scholarships, or industry collaboration. We do not accept self-funded students. The graduate students are encouraged to apply, with the best of our support, for scholarship opportunities including the Queen’s Graduate Scholarship, Vanier Scholarship, NSERC Graduate Scholarship, Ontario Graduate Scholarship, Mitacs Fellowships and Research Awards, and other International Scholarships.
We support postdoctoral fellow candidates for their application to Queen’s University Postdoctoral Fund, and other fellowships provided by academic associations and societies.
M.Eng. Thesis Project
We look forward to working with M.Eng. students for their thesis project related to Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, and Biomedical Engineering. Each M.Eng. student will lead a project defined together by the team and the candidate.

Undergraduate Summer Research
We post summer projects every year for undergraduate students interested to do research with us. Students are encouraged to apply through NSERC Undergraduate Student Research Awards (USRA) and Queen’s University Undergraduate Student Summer Research Fellowships (USSRF).
Capstone Design Project
We host one Capstone design project every year in the fall semester for final year undergraduate students. Please refer to the announcement from Mech460.
