Jack is currently in his fourth year of Engineering Physics (BASc), specializing in Computing at Queen’s University. He is interested in photonics and optics and their applications to telecommunication-based systems and neuromorphic computing. This past summer, he worked on ultrafast optical signal compression and using machine learning for pulse shaping. Outside of school, he likes to play and build his own guitars and amplifiers, make homemade wine, weightlift, and as of recently, struggle at learning the banjo.
