Anders Lossius
BASc Candidate (Engineering Physics)
Shastri Lab / Quantum Nanophotonics Lab
Department of Physics, Engineering Physics & Astronomy
Co-advised with Prof. Nir Rotenberg
Anders is currently in his fourth year of the Engineering Physics Computing Option (B.A.Sc) at Queen's University. He is interested in on-chip nanophotonics, particularly with applications to Neuromorphic Computing and cryogenic quantum photonic circuits. He spent last summer studying and designing metasurfaces - subwavelength arrays of optical phase shifters - for the Laser Interferometer Gravitational-Wave Observatory (LIGO). He is also interested in on-chip squeezing for broad quantum-tech applications. In his spare time, he enjoys bouldering and playing table tennis.
