On May 15, 2024, the department celebrated Chuck Hearns’ 40th anniversary at Queen’s! Chuck has been an invaluable member of the department, working in countless projects, but notably as a machinist and technician for the Sudbury Neutrino Observatory where he’s left a world-wide impact. Chuck has been a constant and supportive member of our team – working with researchers, instructors, technicians, staff, and students to help build our department.
Chuck is retiring at the end of May 2024 to spend more time with his family, he will be dearly missed in Stirling.
