Dr. Kevin Stamplecoskie was born and raised in the small town of Wilno, ON, Canada, known as the first Polish settlement in Canada. He is an Assistant Professor in the Chemistry Department at Queen's University where he leads a research group focused on discovering new photonics materials with electronic and optical properties tuned for state-of-the-art devices. His research group specializes in synthesis and spectroscopy of metal clusters and larger nanomaterial. The properties of these materials are tailored for advanced chemical sensing, light-harvesting, biomedical imaging and fundamental studies of emerging materials.
