Ultrafast Laser Lab

Quantum Nanophotonics Lab
- Closed-cycle cryostats (4 K) with superconducting magnets (9T and 5/3/3T), integrated with a custom free space optical setup including a confocal microscope
- High-resolution (~kHz) continuous-wave lasers with an extensive mode-hop-free tuning range (up to 130 nm, centred about 930 nm and 1550 nm), integrated with wavelength and power stabilization for low-noise quantum optics measurements
- Fast, low-noise, high-efficiency superconducting nanowire single-photon detectors (VIS and NIR) paired with high-resolution time taggers designed specifically for time-correlated single- and few-photon counting
- Cutting-edge Tektronix arbitrary waveform generator with a sample rate of up to 50 GS/s, paired with industry-standard Keithley current-voltage sources and measure units, and high-speed electro-optic modulators for high bandwidth switching and shaping of optical signals
