Bio
Dr. Stotz is a faculty member in the Department of Physics, Engineering Physics, and Astronomy at Queen's University. His research group focuses on studying applications of Surface Acoustic Waves (SAWs) to novel systems, concentrating on Phononic Crystals and Semiconductor Spintronics. This latter research stream stems from the ability to transport electron spins using SAWs with semiconductor devices, which Dr. Stotz developed while at the Paul-Drude-Institute in Berlin, Germany working with Dr. Paulo Santos and Prof. Klaus Ploog.
