Steven D. Blostein
Professor, Queen's Electrical & Computer Engineering
Degrees & Accolades:
Ph.D. (University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign)
Research Profile:
I work on problems related to enhancing capacity and reducing latency in future communication systems that feature a combination of large numbers of antennas and users, dynamic spectrum access, energy harvesting and channel estimation.
I also am interested in sequential detection problems that involve hypothesis testing in distributed systems such as sensor networks, as well as change detection problems.
Recent publications are linked to my website above. I work with both Ph.D. and master’s students as well as external collaborators. I am also interested in discovering relationships to other fields of investigation.
