Bio

Dr. Mann is a professional engineer with 10 years of experience, including a broad background in chemistry and hydrogeology. Her current role at BGC includes:

  • developing experimental methods for reclamation and remediation technologies,
  • 3-D numerical modelling simulations of all stages of mine life using MODFLOW,
  • mine closure planning,
  • water supply analyses, and
  • annual groundwater reporting for regulatory compliance submissions.

She completed a Ph.D. at Queen’s University in 2012 where she researched flow and transport in fractured rock, with an emphasis on the influences of increasing velocity on estimates of flow and transport parameters, and the effects of biobarrier technology on contaminant transport.
