Equitable Hiring Practices, an online module developed by the Human Rights & Equity Office and the Student Experience Office. This training is designed to aid students in understanding how bias impacts our decision-making process, especially during hiring processes, at any level.

Much has been said about the need to build a diverse workforce. But how can we achieve this? In the following module, students will critically analyze hiring processes and their equity implications and will practice how to apply equity best practices and tools when participating in hiring panels.

By the end of this session, you will:

  • Understand how bias impacts our decision-making process
  • Critically analyze hiring processes and their equity implications
  • Increase understanding of equity practices and tools when participating in hiring panels

 

Note: Ensure you have 40–minutes of uninterrupted time to complete this module. The module will eventually time–out due to inactivity. Refreshing the page after time–out will cause previous progress on the module to be lost and you will need to complete the module again.
