Fundraising Initiatives
Are you part of an AMS sanctioned student group or club on campus? Hospitality Services provides fundraising opportunities by partnering your group or club with a pre-approved local food truck vendor on campus for fundraising events. Get the word out about your club and raise valuable funds that can go towards your group's initiatives.
Fairtrade Steering Committee
The Fairtrade Steering committee’s bi-annual meeting consists of staff, student and faculty volunteers and administrative representatives to uphold the Queen’s Fairtrade Campus designation through a shared commitment to advance and innovate initiatives promoting Fairtrade engagement on campus.
Housing and Ancillary Services Sustainability Advisory Committee
Members, including those within the department, campus stakeholders, and student representatives meet monthly to collaborate on activities that balance sustainability and fiscal accountability in all department policies, procedures and practices to support Queen's University Climate Action Plan and the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Campus Food Services Advisory Committee
Join the Campus Food Services Advisory Committee to provide your input on the delivery of food services at Queen's, including residence meal plans and retail food services on campus. If the quality, quantity, type of food, pricing, budget, operations, hours of service, promotions and considerations to sustainability and EDII are important to you.....this committee might be your calling.
Be a Mystery Shopper!
The Mystery Shopper program is open to students, staff, and faculty to collect unbiased feedback on several key aspects of the food service operations on campus and improve the customer experience in retail and dining food locations. Compensation is provided in Flex $ to cover food and beverage expenses after submitting purchase evaluations. 75% of the funds are loaded onto your student/staff/faculty card at the beginning of the semester, and the remaining is loaded after all surveys have been completed.
Fall positions are now full. Winter applications open in September.
