Studio Theatre at the IsabelMonday, November 7th, 9am-11am in the Studio Theatre at the Isabel. The artist Dierdre Logue along with Professor Emily Pelstring will present a screening, discussion, and activity drawing ideas from Logue's 2016 series of videos entitled Double Double. Shot on location during a residency at the School of Visual arts in Dawson City, Double Double belongs to a series of works occupying these in-between spaces, capturing the body in suspension, balancing its weight on arched feet or outstretched arms. Always on the precipice of holding back or oversharing - between mutual relation and codependency, between interior and exterior, between sleeping and awake, between balance and falling - the series explores space through hyper-embodied awareness, collapsing the sensual and the intuitive, and feeling and knowing in a unified way of understanding.
