Faculty Relations Office
The Faculty Relations team provides advisory and support services relating to the university’s employment of academic staff, including faculty, librarians, archivists, clinicians, postdoctoral fellows, teaching assistants, teaching Fellows, research assistants, and senior academic administrators. Our advice and support encompasses labour relations, academic compensation and faculty hiring. Faculty Relations serves as the university’s principal point of contact with the bargaining agents representing academic staff: the Queen’s University Faculty Association (“QUFA”) and the Public Service Alliance of Canada and its Local 901 (“PSAC”). We strive to foster positive and productive relations through our activities, which include leading collective bargaining, administering and interpreting collective agreements, participating on committees, supporting policy development and implementation, and education and training. Faculty Relations is part of the Office of the Provost and Vice-Principal (Academic) portfolio.
