“3D” Webinar Series: Data, Disclosures and Definitions

Part 1: How global trends are shaping sustainable finance in Canada

While business and finance await certainty on climate-related disclosure regulations and a sustainable finance taxonomy in Canada, the rest of the world is not slowing down. Canadian companies could find themselves “playing defence” on new regulations in jurisdictions where they operate, such as the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive in Europe. Our expert panel will cover the latest global sustainable finance developments and their potential impact on Canadian firms, and what Canadian regulators and standard setters can do to set Canada’s own course for the economic transition to net zero emissions.

Andrea Moffat

Senior Director, Investment Stewardship, Addenda Capital

Andrea leads Addenda’s stewardship efforts which includes active engagement with companies and issuers on Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) matters to enhance the long-term value of investments for clients. This also includes actively promoting sustainable financial markets by collaborating with experts and engaging with standard-setters and policy-makers to create a more sustainable and net-zero aligned economy and market.

Panel Discussion

Helena Viñes Fiestas
