Virtual Reality has come to Environmental Studies at Queen's University!
Students in Professor Hall’s 4th year Watershed class were immersed in a virtual river to practice field techniques used to measure water flow in the environment. They then applied these skills in the field to assess a real river.
What’s the benefit of this?
Putting real-life skills to the test while maximizing training time in an exciting and innovative way.
Thank you to the School of Environmental Studies, the Queen’s Engineering Teaching and Learning Team, and the Mirauda Team at Università degli Studi della Basilicata for their support in making this a reality.
