Emily Annis

Emily is in her fourth year of Global Development Studies with a minor in French Language and Literature. Her research interests centre around gender and development in Southeast Asia, specifically the advancement of the security of Southeast Asian women. Emily had the opportunity to study at the National University of Singapore and visited many neighbouring Southeast Asian countries, gaining invaluable experience connecting with local communities. Emily is looking forward to commencing her role as Co-President for the Queen's Chapter of Women in International Security (WIIS Queen's) in Fall 2023.
