Treaties Recognition Week 2023

November 5-11, 2023 is Treaties Recognition Week. This week allows time to honour and learn about the treaties across this country and their importance then and now, as well as treaty rights and responsibilities.

Please join us in welcoming Maurice Switzer, Bensi, of Alderville First Nation, Aronhiaies Herne of Akwesasne, and Cultural Advisor Te ho wis kwûnt, Allen Doxtator, to provide teachings on treaties during 3 separate events.

The following year he authored "We are all Treaty People", a graphic novel of which over 15,000 copies have been distributed, primarily to schools across Ontario.
