This event is part of Student Voices Week, a concentrated series of opportunities to engage in conversations about equity and allyship at Queen's and to celebrate the equity-focused work being done by students across campus.

Student Voices Week is hosted by the Queen's Shift Project in the Student Experience Office in collaboration with many university partners and student groups.

Unless otherwise noted, all Student Voices Week events are open to any students looking to be part of the shift towards a safer and more inclusive campus culture for everyone.

Meditation for Student Activists

This class is part of Student Voices Week and is being offered to students involved in equity work, activism or allyship. If you take part in any work of this nature, you are welcome to sign up.

  • Class Description: Embark on a gentle and accessible journey to enhance your physical and mental well-being. Christine will guide you through simple yet powerful movements, breathing exercises, and mindfulness techniques, tailored specifically for beginners. Experience the profound benefits of Qi Gong to reduce stress, improve flexibility, and foster a calm mind. A personalized guided meditation centred on compassion will be shared to ground and support social justice activists and their important work.
  • Class Duration: 50-minutes
  • No experience necessary!
  • Participants must pre-reserve their spot for each class, and you may register for as many classes as they wish.
  • Class Pre-Reservations OPENS 2-Days in advance of the class offering and CLOSES at the start of each class.
  • If you can no longer attend class, please kindly cancel your class reservation. This will open the spot to another individual looking to attend class. You can complete this up to 1-hour before class.
    • To cancel, go to 'Program Registrations' under your Profile & click 'Cancel' under the three blue dots.
    • No-shows will be subject to a $5 missed class fee.
