The QUIC International Student Welcome Week runs Monday, August 26 - Friday, August 30, 2024. Incoming International Students are invited to join information sessions, social events, walks, tours and more. 

The Week brings you lots of useful information and fun social activities. You will have the opportunity to get to know campus and your peers. Come hear from advisors and service providers on topics that were carefully prepared for you.

Welcome Week is free and scheduled to precede university and faculty orientation programs at Queen's. You may choose and participate on any date/in any activity. Registration is required for the daily information sessions. Sign up for the social activities is in person at the QUIC. The social activities include walks and tours and have limited capacity - spots will be offered on a first-come basis at the International Centre on the day of each event. Events may be subject to change.

Some activities will be repeated to offer date options to arriving students.

In addition, Service Canada will be on site at the QUIC to issue Social Insurance Numbers (SIN) to international students on Aug. 26, Aug. 27, Aug. 28 and Aug. 30, 8:30 am - 4:00 pm, and on Tue. September 3, 12:00 - 4:00 pm. Original documents and passport are required by Service Canada so that you may obtain the SIN.
