Q+ is the LGBTQ2S+ professional development committee at Queen's University. Founded in 2016 under the Smith Commerce Society, our mission is to empower LGBTQ2S+ students through professional development, community, and allyship.

Are you interested in a career in business? Do you want to socialize with other queer students, participate in a case competition, and connect with firms from a wide array of business units? If yes, then this is the conference for you!

Description of the Event

Q+'s Celebrating Queer Excellence Conference will be a full-day event taking place on Friday, January 26th, 2024. Queen's students will be transported between Queen’s University and SmithToronto on the day of the event. Students can expect inspiring talks from queer leadership, networking with representatives from our firm sponsors and the opportunity to socialize with other queer students. Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be provided to attendees on the day of the conference. A primer with a detailed schedule for the day will be provided to students once notified of their acceptance to the conference.

Application Information

Students from all programs are encouraged to apply. Allies are more than welcome to apply but applicants who self-identify as a part of the LGBTQ2S+ community will be prioritized. Your LGBTQ2S+ identity will be kept confidential. Please note that filling out this application does not guarantee your acceptance to the conference. An official acceptance to the conference will be sent to your institution email in January. Payment will be collected upon acceptance.
