Congratulations to Queen's Art Conservation alumni who attended the Canadian Association for Cultural Property's 28th Annual Conference in Victoria, B.C.! Presentations were given by Sally Kim (M.A.C. '19) on soft sculptures, and by Jonah Halili (M.A.C. '23) on the drying behaviours of modern oil paints. Additionally, Robin Canham (M.A.C. '22) received the CAC's Emerging Conservator Award.

More congratulations are due for Emma Griffiths (M.A.C. '22), who is the winner of the 2023 Canadian Association of Professional Conservators (CAPC) Emerging Conservator Grant! The grant supports conservation students and recent graduates in their work, including research, specialized certification, workshops, lectures, and conference attendance. Read Emma's report on her attendance at the course, "Conservation of Transport and Industrial Collections," taught by Chris Knapp (pictured below with Emma at the National Mining Museum Scotland) at West Dean College of Arts & Conservation.
