Tiny Robots to Fight Cancer: Biomedical Engineering and Medicine
In this masterclass, Professor Wang will introduce some of the key challenges in designing and controlling microrobots, with a special focus on their applications in biomedical environments. Through examples, students will explore how microrobots can be manipulated to perform precise tasks within the human body, from targeted drug delivery to tissue mechanical measurement. We will examine how these tiny robots are navigated and controlled, the engineering principles behind their movement, and the advanced materials that allow them to interact safely with biological tissues. By the end of this session, students will gain insight into the exciting intersection of robotics and biomedical engineering.
