Jackie S. Huberman, M.Sc., Ph.D.
2012 – 2020

Jackie is currently a SSHRC postdoctoral fellow at Dalhousie University, working with Dr. Natalie Rosen. Her research has used multi-method approaches to study the psychophysiology of sexual response, with a focus on gender differences and similarities, as well as processes contributing to women’s sexual arousal and desire. For her doctoral work, Jackie has used EEG to study neural responses involved in processing sexual cues. She has also investigated the role of women’s sexual self-schemas–particularly their organization–in women’s sexuality. Together, her work contributes to the development of comprehensive models of sexual response.

Amanda Timmers, M.Sc., Ph.D.
2011 – 2019

Amanda is currently working in private practice in Ottawa. She received her undergraduate (B.A. Honours, Psychology) and graduate (M.Sc. and Ph.D., Psychology) degrees from Queen's University under the supervision of Dr. Meredith Chivers. Amanda's graduate studies have been funded by the Ontario Women’s Health Scholar Award, and the Joseph-Armand Bombardier Canada Graduate Scholarship from the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada.

Kelly Suschinsky, Post-Doctoral Fellowship
2011 – 2019

Kelly is currently working in Program Evaluation at the Royal Hospital in Ottawa. She received her undergraduate degree (B.A. Honours, Psychology) at the University of Saskatchewan, and her graduate degrees (M.Sc., Ph.D., Psychology) from the University of Lethbridge. Kelly's Post-Doctoral studies in the SageLab have been supported by the Canadian Institutes of Health Research Post-doctoral Fellowship and the L’Oreal-UNESCO 2017 Excellence in Research Fellowship.

Daniel Tassone, M.Sc.

Dan is currently completing his Ph.D. in Dr. Luis Flores' lab at Queen's University.

Samantha Dawson, M.Sc., Ph.D.
2012 – 2018

Sam is currently completing her doctoral residency at the Royal Ottawa Mental Health Centre. She received her undergraduate (B.A. Honours, Psychology) and graduate (M.Sc., Psychology) degrees from the University of Lethbridge, under the supervision of Dr. Martin Lalumière. Sam’s doctoral studies have been funded through an Ontario Trillium Scholarship and an Ontario Graduate Scholarship. Her research program seeks to understand gendered sexuality through investigating processes and mechanisms underlying sexual arousal, desire, and behaviour. To do so, she uses state-of-the-art methodologies, often concurrently, to elucidate the components and processes necessary to activate and regulate the sexual response system.
