Join Queen's University's School of Graduate Studies and Postdoctoral Affairs in celebrating the success of the 2023-24 PhD-Community Initiative on Thursday, May 2, 4:30-6:30pm at Kingston City Hall, Memorial Hall!
The PhD-Community Initiative brings graduate students together into interdisciplinary teams to support organizations in our community by addressing a challenge of importance to them. Six teams worked with a diverse group of partners, including the City of Kingston, Student Academic Success Services, Kingston Economic Development Corporation, KFL&A Public Health, and the Ban Righ Centre.
Our students have demonstrated talent, energy and enthusiasm to create positive change by applying the skills and knowledge gained in graduate studies to addressing challenges beyond the academic arena. Please join us to celebrate their work and hear more about the real impact they are having on the Kingston community.
Brief team presentations will be following by a reception with refreshments.
