The Human Rights & Equity Office (HREO) is dedicated to advancing Indigenization, Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, Accessibility, and Anti-Racism (I-EDIAA) throughout the university. Work Study Job Description
Reporting to the Accessibility Coordinator, the Office is seeking a student to provide assistance with projects under the Accessibility portfolio. This may include but is not limited to: updating student-facing training materials, designing promotional materials, website reviewing and editing, and educational programming development and facilitation.
This Work Study contract will run from September 21st, 2026 to December 11th, 2026 for 10 hours a week for a cumulative 100 hours total.

Qualifications
- Excellent writing and communication skills
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Strong programming facilitation skills or equivalent experience
- Proficient computer skills and familiarity with software including Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint, and Canva.
- Problem-solving skills with an ability to know when to refer problems to others
- Ability to work independently and with a team
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
- Understanding of human rights, diversity, accessibility and equity including applicable legislation
- Knowledge and experience in researching human rights, equity and accessibility issues within an academic or equivalent context, including research and the development of educational materials is an asset
- Ability to apply an anti-oppression analysis
- Ability to plan and design promotional materials (e.g. posters, brochures, social media posts)
- Knowledge of Queen's student clubs and groups
