Science Rendezvous Kingston is a FREE, annual science festival for Southeastern Ontario families hosted by Queen's University.
Our 2025 event will take place Saturday, May 10, 10 am - 3 pm, at the Slush Puppie Place and on The Tragically Hip Way, featuring:
- 60 booths
- Chemistry experiments, physics demonstrations, robots, and much more
- Special shows on stage
Our Booths
Experience the world of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics with hands-on experiments and activities at this year's action-packed booths.
WONDER through a world of robots, dinosaurs, mars rovers, plastic-eating worms, and more, with activities for science explorers of all ages!

Get ready to be amazed by three thrilling science shows that are sure to ignite your curiosity and wow audiences of all ages!
10:30am - Smashing Strawberries: Dive into the fascinating world of genetics as we extract real DNA from strawberries right before your eyes!
12pm - Phenomenal Physics: Explore the power of magnetism and motion in this hands-on demonstration that blends science with a touch of kitchen chaos.
2pm - Chemistry Magic Show: Watch in awe as everyday substances transform through colorful reactions, flashes, and fizzes in this crowd-favorite chemistry showcase.
These exciting shows are fun, interactive, and full of surprising science—don’t miss a minute of the action!

FREE Parking and Kingston Trolley Service from Fort Henry (9:30am - 3:30pm)
Enjoy complimentary parking for the day at Fort Henry. From there, take advantage of our free round-trip shuttle service to Slush Puppie Place, running continuously throughout the event.
To make your journey even smoother, friendly volunteers and directional signage will be available every step of the way to help guide you to your destination. We’ve taken care of the logistics so you can focus on having fun!

The City of Kingston has proclaimed Saturday, May 10, 2025 Science Rendezvous Kingston Day!
Our event engages and inspires young Kingstonians and all citizens to participate in discovery, experimentation, and exploration in all areas of science.
Our visitors learn from local scientists from Queen's University, Kingston Health Science Centre, local museums, and community organizations.
