TEDxQueensU’s 15th conference, "Illuminate," celebrates impactful storytelling, Indigenous artists, local flavors and regional innovation, bridging Queen’s University and Kingston’s vibrant community.
The 15th TEDxQueensU conference, themed "Illuminate," celebrates a milestone in inspiring change and connection through impactful storytelling. Centred on revealing the unknown, unseen, and unheard, our nine remarkable speakers will delve into diverse topics, ranging from mental health and artificial intelligence to global food systems. This year's event also deepens ties with the Kingston community by featuring local businesses and restaurants, offering attendees a taste of Kingston's unique flavours. Showcasing some of the region's most exciting organizations, the Innovation Lab will highlight groundbreaking ideas and promote collaboration. Additionally, the Indigenous art gallery in the lobby will shine a spotlight on Indigenous artists, providing a platform to share Indigenous teachings and foster a safe space to collaborate and come together. This interactive space encourages attendees to engage directly with speakers, innovators, and artists, discover new perspectives, and participate in cross-disciplinary discussions. Held at the Isabel Bader Centre for the Performing Arts, TEDxQueensU combines thought-provoking TED Talks, enriching performing and visual arts, and community-driven initiatives to create an unforgettable experience. With accessibility and inclusivity at its core, the conference provides captioning, accessibility features for mobility and diverse dietary options to ensure every attendee feels welcome and valued.
