The SNO+ AV Bulk Fill has been completed!

On March 27, 2021, the SNO+ detector has completed replacing the water volume used for the first phase of the experiment with liquid scintillator, which will be the detector target medium moving forward. The AV Bulk Fill is a culmination of years of 24-hour underground shifting, engineering triumphs, scientific innovation, and the relentless effort by the 100 individuals of the SNO+ Fill Team. Although there are still many critical steps to take before we complete the SNO+ Scintillator Fill, this is a significant milestone for the experiment.
