Join Us! Imagine a World Without Sexual Violence: A Student Voices Week Conversation

Date

12:00 pm - 2:00 pm

Location

MacCorry Cafeteria

This event is part of Student Voices Week, an opportunity to engage in meaningful conversations around equity, allyship, and student-led change. SVPRS invites you to reflect on gender-based and sexual violence, its intersections with discrimination, and what a world without it could look like.
Imagine a world where sexual violence didn’t exist—how would your life be different?
Would you…

✔ Feel safe walking home at night?
✔ Travel without second-guessing your surroundings?
✔ Dance without worrying about how you’ll be perceived?
✔ Go on a date without an exit plan?
✔ Swipe right without fearing harassment?

For some, the answer might be that not much would change—and that’s privilege. But for many, gender-based violence influences daily decisions in ways both big and small.

At our booth in Mac-Corry, we’ll invite students to express their thoughts—through writing, art, or discussion—on what a world free from sexual violence and discrimination could look like. We’ll also explore how different identities shape vulnerability and resilience, making this a deeply intersectional conversation.
