Professor Emeritus William Closson James has been awarded the 2013 Canadian Society for the Study of Religion Book Prize for his recently published God's Plenty: Religious Diversity in Kingston(McGill-Queen's University Press, 2011.) Thie book examines the religious landscape of Kingston, Ontario, in the twenty-first century in a narrative that integrates material from sociological and historical studies, websites, interviews, religious and literary scholarship, and personal experience.
Professor James was presented with the award at the Annual Meeting of the CSSR in Victoria, BC.
