Summer 2024 - Through the Curtains

 

The greatest holiday memories are unburdened by a camera, allowing us to create a mental photo we burnish each time it’s recalled. On the eve of my honeymoon, I found myself asking: What do we lose when we cannot travel? What do we gain when we rely on recollection alone?


Bio:

Daniel Seifert’s work has appeared or is forthcoming in the New York Times, Consequence, Open: Journal of Arts & Letters, and the anthology Missed Connections: Microfiction from Asia. In 2023 he was shortlisted for the Bridport Prize and longlisted for the Letter Review Prize. He is currently pursuing a master’s degree in creative writing at Lasalle College of the Arts in Singapore. He tweets @DanSeifwrites.
