Until a few decades ago, it was unusual for a meteorite even to be recognized as being connected with a particular meteor event in the sky. But camera technology, sky surveys, and sophisticated software have changed all that. Bio:

Peter Jedicke is a retired college science teacher who lives in London, Ontario. He studied physics and philosophy and is an amateur astronomer and a Fellow of the Royal Astronomical Society of Canada. He has written articles for Astronomy and Sky & Telescope and also children’s books, including Gravity, and How It Works and Cosmology: Exploring the Universe.
