Queen’s Partnerships and Innovation is pleased to report the issuance of U.S. Patent No. 10,874,991 "Functional Filters for Hydrophobic Liquid/Hydrophilic Liquid Separations", on December 29, 2020, to Guojun Liu, Yu Wang, Zijie Wang, and Shuaishuai Huang. According to the patent (attached) this invention relates to a composite material described to be an effective filter to separate oil from an oil and water emulsion or other mixtures of oil and water.
