FACULTY ORIENTATION

Arts and Science Orientation

Arts and Science

Welcome ArtSci Class of 2028 to Queen’s University!

The Arts and Sciences Undergraduate Society (ASUS) Orientation Committee wants to extend the biggest congratulations for accepting your position at Queen’s University and becoming a part of our community. The Orientation Committee plans and runs all the events you will be participating in during the first two weekends of September. These events are aimed at easing your transition into university life by introducing you to valuable academic, social, mental and physical resources at Queen’s. Most importantly, students will be provided with experiences that lay the foundation for a successful and unforgettable university career.

You will be placed into first-year groups based on your projected majors, led by two upper-year orientation leaders (Gaels). In your groups, you will led through all 14 of the Arts and Sciences' Orientation events. Arts and Science is the largest faculty at Queen's and as such, has some of the largest orientation events in the country. These events are all planned to introduce you to every aspect of university life. Some key events include Coverall painting, Sidewalk Sale, building Campus Connections and even a Mud Run!

ASUS Orientation promises to be a fun and exciting start to university, allowing you to build bonds with your peers and school.
