Dr. Rebecca Doyle is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Biology at McMaster University. Prior to McMaster, Dr. Doyle held a Postdoctoral Fellowship through the Institute for Genomic Biology at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, completed her PhD in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology at the University of Toronto, and completed both her Bachelor’s (Honours) and Masters in Science at Memorial University of Newfoundland. Dr. Doyle’s research focuses on the evolution of symbioses, intimate interactions among species. Her lab often combines experimental evolution coupled with various genomics approaches to understand evolutionary processes as they occur in real time.
