Jill E. Hobbs is a Professor in the Department of Agricultural and Resource Economics at the University of Saskatchewan. Her research areas include consumer behaviour, agri-food supply chains, and food policy. Recent research includes consumer responses to new food technologies, consumer demand for plant-based proteins, international regulation of gene-edited agri-foods, and supply chain resilience in the agri-food sector. She earned her Ph.D. from the University of Aberdeen in the UK and holds an M.A. from the University of Calgary and a B.Sc. (Econ) from Aberystwyth University, UK.
