Ana Vargas is the lentil and faba bean breeder and an Agri-Food Innovation Fund Chair at the University of Saskatchewan (USask). She has experience working in common beans, lentils and other pulses. Her main research areas include micronutrients, seed quality and colour stability, nitrogen fixation, disease resistance and tolerance to abiotic stresses.
