In December 2024, Queen’s University began talks with United Steelworkers (USW) Local 2010, to negotiate the renewal of the Collective Agreement between Local 2010 and the University. Initial bargaining dates have been established in February 2025. The Local represents approximately 1200 general support staff across the university. Their Collective Agreement expired on December 31, 2024.
The University values the contributions of its employees and respects the collective bargaining process. It remains committed to reaching a negotiated agreement that is fair and capable of being ratified by both parties. Once reached, the details of any tentative agreement will remain confidential until it is ratified successfully by USW Local 2010 and the University.
