Queen’s University and United Steel Workers (USW) Local 2010, representing general staff in Grades 2-9, exchanged collective bargaining proposals on March 22, 2022.

The Collective Agreement between Queen’s University and USW Local 2010 expired on December 31, 2021.

To date, the Parties have had seven bargaining dates and are scheduled to meet again on June 21 & 22, 2022 to continue negotiations with the assistance of a government appointed Conciliation Officer.    

The University values the contributions of its many employees and remains committed to a fair and respectful collective bargaining process.  The University is focused on reaching a negotiated agreement that balances the university’s need to preserve its core academic mission and respects the limitations dictated by current financial realities.
