Exchange 101

What is Exchange 101? Simply put: in 1.5 hours, IPO staff and student volunteers outline the nuts and bolts of putting together an international Arts and Science experience.

Topics to be discussed include: eligibility requirements, how exchange works, the various types of exchange programs, financing exchange, applying to an exchange program, and the experience of studying abroad itself. Discussion and questions are encouraged.

Did you know: second year Art Sci students applying to go on our exchange program in their third year are given preference in our system? Your third year is the time when most Arts and Science students will have the most flexibility in their degree and where people find the most success transferring back credits. First years are welcome to attend, however, please note that you must be in your second year of study to apply to our exchange programs.

  • Wednesday, November 1 from 5:30 – 7:00pm in Ellis Hall Auditorium
  • Monday, November 13 from 5:30 – 7:00pm in Ellis Hall Auditorium
  • Wednesday, November 22 from 5:30 – 7:00pm in Ellis Hall Auditorium

Your exchange bursary application is assessed on the basis of financial need for the full cost of attendance in the fall/winter academic year. If eligible for bursary assistance, the value of the bursary you receive will include bursary assistance for your term on exchange and term at Queen's or if you are on a full year exchange it will be for fall and winter term. 

This award is available only to students participating in one of the Queen's University formal exchange programs.
MIB Master of International Business students should apply using the Queen's General Bursary application and should not apply for Exchange Bursary
