In a new report on foreign interference over the last two federal elections, the National Security and Intelligence Review Agency raises significant communication problems between Canada's intelligence agencies and the federal government. According to the NSIRA, intelligence on foreign interference sometimes failed to reach the prime minister's office in 2021 because of disagreements between CSIS and the prime minister's National Security and Intelligence Advisor over the threat from China. Christian Leuprecht, a professor at both the Royal Military College and Queen's University, shares his thoughts on the matter with CPAC’s Michael Serapio.
