Faculty Members Receive John R. Evans Leaders Fund Awards

Congratulations to faculty members, Dr. Jennifer Day, Dr. Hom Nath Gharti, and Dr. David McLagan, on each receiving John R. Evans Leaders Fund Awards from the Canada Foundation for Innovation.

Dr. Jennifer Day’s John R. Evans Leaders Fund Project #43690, "Thermo-hydro-mechanical coupled rock performance: transforming design of geological storage and resource developments” was approved in full for $200,000. 

Dr. Hom Nath Gharti’s John R. Evans Leaders Fund Project #43745, "Geophysical monitoring and modelling of the subsurface of urban environments and large infrastructures” was approved in full for $100,000. 

Dr. David McLagan’s John R. Evans Leaders Fund Project #43915, “FEWA Contaminant Biogeochemistry Lab: Holistic assays of Hg biogeochemical cycling in forest ecosystems.”  was fully funded for $120,000.
