Two-hundred students from across North America pulled all-nighters in the name of innovation during Queen’s first-ever hackathon held March 4-6.

QHacks, a student-organized endeavour, saw participants work together in teams to build and develop new technologies, everything from mobile apps to innovative hardware.

At the end of the innovation marathon, the teams pitched the projects to a panel of esteemed entrepreneurs and innovators. Andrew Litt, Jake Alsemgeest, Zackery Harley and Colin MacLeod won first prize for their project, GitStarted. The tool helps developers get their projects off the ground much more quickly.
