Resources for Research at Queen’s series kicks-off new season

Hosted by the Vice Principal (Research) portfolio, the Resources for Research at Queen’s (R4R@Q) series acquaints the research community with the people and resources who can support them – from project conception to knowledge mobilization and translation.

The series has just launched for the 2023-2024 academic year, and sessions are free to attend but require registration. Virtual sessions will also be made available online.

Below are details for the upcoming November and January sessions:

Nov. 23, 1-2 p.m. (Virtual session)
Accelerate your research with supercomputing 
Presenters: Paige Beddoe (Associate Director, Research Engagement & Strategy) and Chris Degen (Operational Project Coordinator)

Nov. 30, 3-4 p.m. (In-person - Miller Museum of Geology)
Science Rendezvous Kingston, a research outreach and team building opportunity
Presenters: Lynda Colgan (Professor Emerita, founder and co-coordinator of Science Rendezvous Kingston) and Catarina Chagas (Research Outreach and Events Specialist, co-coordinator of Science Rendezvous Kingston)

Jan. 24, 10-11 a.m. (Virtual session) 
Enhance your supercomputing skills
Presenters: Shadi Khalifa (Senior Analytics Developer) and Rakesh Raghavaraju (User Support Analyst); Jamie Siklosi (Departmental Assistant)
