Alumni from across Canada and around the world are returning to Queen’s Oct. 18-20 and the university is ready to welcome them home.

Throughout the weekend, more than 2,000 alumni will have the opportunity to explore campus and reconnect with the university, current students, former classmates, friends, professors, and the Kingston community.  

“Homecoming is a wonderful time to celebrate the remarkable achievements of our alumni and the profound impact Queen’s has had on their lives and the world,” says Chief Advancement Officer Michelle Fuko. “I invite everyone to join us in recognizing the ways our alumni are shaping the future, as well as exploring the exciting changes on campus. From groundbreaking research to transformative experiences, Queen’s is not only solving real-world challenges but also empowering a global network of leaders who are driving change in their communities and beyond.”  

This year’s celebration will mark milestone reunions for alumni who graduated in years ending in four and nine, as well as the Tricolour Guard (alumni celebrating 50 years or more since graduation), who can attend a reception and dinner on Oct. 19.

The Fall Harvest Alumni Gathering, a family-friendly celebration, will be held Oct. 19, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Agnes Benidickson Field.

Celebrations for everyone

There are more than 65 official events happening throughout Homecoming weekend and the signature event is the Fall Harvest Alumni Gathering, a family-friendly celebration on Oct. 19, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Agnes Benidickson Field. This free event is open to all Queen’s staff, faculty, students, and the Kingston community. Children and pets are encouraged to attend and local treats will be available.

There will be activities for all ages, including an interactive kid-friendly exhibit and demonstrations by Science Rendezvous, and performances by Juno-nominated children's artist Gary Rasberry and accordionist Jan LeClair.  

At Richardson Stadium, the Homecoming football game will see the Queen’s Gaels host the Waterloo Warriors on Saturday, Oct. 19 with kick off at 1 p.m.  Games featuring the Gaels in soccer, rugby, hockey, basketball, and lacrosse are also taking place throughout the weekend.
