Queen’s staff and faculty members gathered on campus Tuesday at the Athletics and Recreation Centre (ARC) to celebrate the holiday season and connect with colleagues from across the university. The annual event is hosted by the Office of the Principal and features a selection of food and drink provided by Hospitality Services.
Principal Patrick Deane was at the reception to meet with members of the campus community and thank them for their efforts throughout the year.
Many attendees brought non-perishable food items with them to donate to the AMS Food Bank, filling two large bins that were set up in the ARC.
Those who donated were entered into a draw to win a gingerbread house modelled on the newly renovated John Deutsch University Centre (JDUC), which is scheduled to be fully open early in the new year. The winner was Michelle Kenyon, who works in Residence Life.
The Office of the Principal is asking event attendees to share what they thought about the event in a feedback survey available until Dec. 20.
