Registration is now open for researchers and groups interested in hosting a booth at Science Rendezvous Kingston 2025 (SRK), the annual family-friendly science festival hosted by the Queen’s Vice-Principal Research Portfolio.

Every year across Canada, dozens of Science Rendezvous events bring exciting research and science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) programming to the public. Recognized as one of Canada's longest-standing and most successful Science Rendezvous, the Kingston event presents an opportunity for faculty, students, and staff to engage with the community through hands-on experiments and interactive activities, while promoting science education and inspiring curiosity about research.

The free community event will take place on May 10, 2025, at Slush Puppie Place and The Tragically Hip Way. Last year, SRK attracted over 5,000 visitors from Southeastern Ontario and showcased 60 diverse booths.

How to register

A limited number of booths are available. Research groups, labs, and departments at Queen’s interested in participating are asked to complete the application form by December 13, 2024.

While there is no fee for a booth, it is the booth coordinator's responsibility to provide enough volunteers and materials for any planned activities.  The event attracts attendees of all ages, however, the majority of the activities should be designed with children in mind.
