As our lives get busier and more distracted, it is more important than ever to pause for a few minutes on Remembrance Day and reflect on those who sacrificed their lives in the service of our country during both wartime and in peacekeeping missions, including many Queen’s alumni. We are grateful to all those who have served Canada in the past and who continue to serve today.

That sentiment feels particularly acute this year in light of the sad events in Ottawa last month. I invite you all to join me for our Remembrance Day ceremony tomorrow morning to reflect and remember.
